The History of the Paladins of Light

The Coming of Pjotor and Divaqs is Healed!

A young man walked along the dusty road, toward the Castle of Light. He wore a golden colored cloak and he carried a staff. He wore a plate that was made of platinum and his piercing blue eyes looked straight ahead toward his destination.

This man was Pjotor. A famous hero that once was an ally of the Silver Dragons of the Horadrim. He was half angel, and he had lived up to this point five hundred years. Everytime there was some sort of army of evil arising, he always seemed to be able to show up to defeat the champions of evil. No one had seen this man for a hundred and fifty years, in which time he sat alone in a mountain and practiced his magic and studied alone. However, he felt Diablo's presence.

Pjotor knew that this would be a foe that the humans couldn't hope to defeat without a little help from himself. Pjotor felt a lot of strong good energy combating him and he followed the source. Right towards the Castle of Light. On this particular day he saw his sister, Ri'henna walking away from the castle. Pjotor had been watching this organization by magic for the last couple of months and was impressed. However, he didn't see what occured to his other half sibling, Athena.

"Ri'henna!" Pjotor hailed from at least thirty yards away.

"Pjotor?" she asked

"Yes!" Pjotor replied excitedly.

"I haven't seen you in a long time, my brother." Ri'henna said happily," what are you doing here?

"Well I came to lead, and perhaps one day assist this organization known as the Paladins of Light which you were in, are you on some kind of mission?" Pjotor inquired.

"No....I was banished." Ri'henna explained bluntly.

"Why?" Pjotor questioned in a shocked voice.

"Athena...he was possessed by Lazarus, and he tried to kill Divaqs, some man in black killed him but I blamed Divaqs for not trying to save him, so I engaged in a duel with Calis to overthrow the leadership." Ri'henna explained with pain showing in her voice.

"I see...well come with Ri'henna, I believe that I can manage to help you back into the guild." Pjotor said and smiled.

"I can't return..." she began.

"Nonsense...you are coming with me." Pjotor said.

"As you wish my brother," she answered and they began the long walk back to the castle.

Ender known to the Paladins as the man in black walked into the personal chambers of Azael.

"Ahh, my servant, have you succeeded in killing the creature and helping Amadeus find the cure for the mortal Divaqs?" the demon asked.

"Yes it has been done according to plan, my master." the mage replied, his head bowing.

"Good...that mortal will prove useful in our, mission." Azael laughed," then when his purpose his over...you will have the pleasure of killing him for me."

"No..." Magus said quietly.

"What was that?" the demon asked.

" I said no....I will not kill my former leader." the mage said, his voice growing to a confident tone.

"Even if I say you must?" the demon questioned.

"I will just simply kill you," the mage replied with a cocky smile.

"You forget that you are still just my servant, Uther..." the demon began to answer enjoying the wince of personal anguish the mage had at the sound of his old name," now I shall remind you."

The demon closed his fist, and Uther's heart began feeling sharp pain. His breath became ragged, and he fell the floor, clutching his chest.

"Like a master of a dog, I shall give you your new name, you will be known as Magus Quelan. Magus meaning one of magic and Quelan meaning demon slave. You are mine, and I will continue to refresh your memory." the demon continued.

Magus was suddenly against the wall, and sharp spikes of fire seared and penetrated his flesh, careful not kill him but keep him on the brink of ultimate pain.

"I also have another treat. I am going to fill your body with souls of evil people that have died in my service. While this is a dark blessing, in which you get to use their abilities, you will always be weaker than I." Azael explained mockingly.

Suddenly Magus heard inside his head the voices of hundreds of evil thieves, mages, warriors and archers cry in agony inside him. The souls all swirled about within Magus's soul, and their stirring caused even more pain. Magus cried out for someone, God or man, to help him. But his suffering had just begun.

Pjotor had been at the Castle of Tyrengard, the Paladin's headquarters for a month and he was well received. They recgonized him as the ancient leader of another band of knights hundreds of years ago. They thought that he would lead them to victory. For a month the paladins flourished greatly and multiplied.

During a meeting that celebrated this, Amadeus returned. A portal opened and suddenly he emerged from it.

"Tis Amadeus!" cried Calis," he has returned to us!"

"Hurrah!' the crowd of knights and warriors cried out.

"Yes...I have returned." Amadeus stated," and I have found a cure for our former Master Divaqs!"

The crowd roared in approval.

"We are gladdened by your return, and it seems we have even more to celebrate," Pjotor said.

"PJOTOR! It's you!" Amadeus said and bowed before him.

"Arise Amadeus. We must heal Divaqs. This meeting is postponed for now," he said.

Again the crowd cheered and went to their merry making. Pjotor, Calis, and Amadeus walked inside the castle and into Divaqs' chamber. The healers bowed before the councellors as they walked past.

"Open his mouth," Amadeus said.

Pjotor did so, and Amadeus poured the blood of the creature into Divaqs mouth. Instantly the shaking, fever racked body of

Divaqs stopped and he looked peaceful.

"Our friend has now been cured," Pjotor said.

Two months later, Amadeus left Pjotor in charge of the Paladins of Light. He left on a personal mission to find the man in black. Pjotor took the office of Paladin Master and continued to rule brilliantly. Divaqs became the Paladin Lord and Guild Diplomat. Divaqs then one day prepared his horse and left the Castle, in search of allies for when the paladins would strike at Diablo. He would soon find many allies, that would help the Paladins of Light in their quest to kill the Lord of Terror.

Meanwhile Magus was in hell, experiencing torture beyond human comprehension. He thought of his friends often as fire, whips and blades damaged his badly beaten body, but he knew he would return to them, in some way.
